A few rules we should all follow to always have safe fun when in or around a pool:
A. In And Around The Pool
- Advise your pool guests of its depths.
- Never let children under 12 swim unsupervised and without a life jacket.
- Many children using the pool at the same time are a danger.
- If you don't know how to swim well, then you only swim in the shallows.
- Never enter the water until two to four hours after eating.
- Do not approach the water slide or slide carelessly.
- Do not swim when you feel chilly or tired, when you are sweaty or when you have consumed a large amount of alcohol.
- Remove any glassware from the pool area.
- If required and possible to isolate the pool area, with fencing, cover, etc.
B. Chemicals
Special attention and care must be taken for problems that can arise from pool chemicals when they fall into the wrong hands (and especially children).
- Store chemicals out of reach of children, in a cool, dark place.
- Do not mix chemicals.
- When feeding your pool with chemicals, take precautions such as:
- wear old clothes
- your position to be against the wind
- never stand over the container you are opening.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after using chemicals.
- Avoid contact with chemicals with wet hands.
- To dissolve chemicals in water, always use clean plastic containers and always feed the chemical into the water, not the other way around.
- If a serious accident occurs, flush the skin with plenty of water and see a doctor immediately.
C. Rules of Hygiene
For a clean and healthy pool, the users should help from their side to maintain it.
- Before entering the pool, make sure you are clear of sand or dirt.
- Do not use oil or sun creams. In case you use any cream after your bath and want to dive again, shower with soap.
Happy Summer!
