Construction of a concrete pool
a) Reinforced concrete pools: they can be made in whatever dimensions and design we want, with a skimmer or with an overflow (peripheral or lateral channel). For their construction, an excavation is made (the depth is determined based on the plan), followed by the formwork (externally) and the ironing of the walls and the bottom. Then, the materials that will be built in as well as the branches that will be covered with concrete are placed. The internal formwork is placed and the concreting of the pool follows. After removing the formwork we have:
- Pool interior, insulation, gross betton to complete the bottom, cement mortar, epoxy resin painting or tiling or tessellation
- Outside the pool, a perimeter tunnel or walling can be visited after first placing the branches of the hydraulic perimeter networks.
b) Shotcrete pools: after the excavation is completed, the ironing is done on the ground and without formwork. The concrete that follows is produced by a device in which we place sand, gravel and cement. This mixture is then driven with compressed air and in a dry state to the nozzle which includes a water supply under pressure. The wetting of the concrete is done continuously at the moment of the shot. With this method eccentric designs are allowed. Disadvantage, the high price, the inability to install tiles, (tiles are installed or painted).
