PVC 90° PN16 elbow for swimming pool networks, in diameters Ø25 to Ø160.
The 90° PVC PN16 elbow changes the direction of the piping at a right angle. Made of 16 bar pressure PVC-U with solder sockets, for permanent and watertight connections to the engine room and the pool network.
The 90° angle changes direction in the shortest possible length and that is why it is present in every engine room, from Ø25 to Ø160 in PN16. However, it has an overlooked cost: each 90° angle is equivalent to several meters of straight pipe in pressure loss, because the water is forced to change direction abruptly and creates turbulence. Rule of thumb: never a 90° angle immediately before the pump suction — uneven flow in the impeller causes noise and cavitation.
