63mm inspection glass: see the flow instead of guessing it

The inspection glass is a transparent part that is inserted into the line and allows visual control of flow. It is more useful than it seems: you can immediately see if air is passing through — a clear indication of a leak in the suction, the most frequent and difficult problem in an engine room — if the water is cloudy after the filter, or if the flow has stopped while the pump is running. In φ63 PN10 with connection true union, so that it can be removed for cleaning when it gets cloudy.

What PVC fittings do I need for a swimming pool?
The network of a swimming pool is set up with pressure PVC pipe and the corresponding accessories: 90° and 45° elbows, tees, crosses, sleeves, reductions, plugs, true union fittings, ball valves and check valves. All in soldered form, for permanent watertight connections.
What does PN16 and PN10 mean?
PN indicates the nominal operating pressure in bar. PN16 fittings withstand 16 bar and PN10 10 bar. In swimming pool networks, PN10 pipes and PN16 fittings are used for greater safety at the connection points.
How do I glue PVC components correctly?
Clean and dry the surfaces, apply PVC glue evenly to the pipe and socket, push with a slight twist until it stops and hold for a few seconds. Let it dry before applying pressure.
When do I use true union fittings?
Wherever you want to loosen the connection without cutting the pipe — before pumps, filters, valves and instruments. The nut with o-ring allows removal of the machine for maintenance in minutes.
Which diameter should I choose?
The diameter is determined by the pump flow rate and the length of the network. Typical domestic networks are set at Ø50 or Ø63, while larger or public pools at Ø75 to Ø160. Our team can help you with the sizing.
